What music does the Festival need?

Check out the Rules

Unless you are performing a named set piece or taking part in Classes V21 to V25 you must bring a copy for the adjudicator.
What should I play?

Grade Classes Competitors should enter at the grade level at which they are currently working or have recently been successful. A competitor may enter only one grade class, per instrument.

One piece should be chosen from the current Grade List of the Associated Board, Trinity College, London College, Victoria College, the Guildhall School of Music and Rock School.

Age Group Classes If there is no set piece given for the class choose a piece that you can perform without going over the time limit. Competitors should always consult their teacher before choosing the class and the own choice piece to be played.
Official Accompanist

Experienced professional accompaniment is available to all instrumentalists and singers at the Festival, apart from the Pop classes.

An Official Accompanist can be booked when you enter at no extra charge.

You must send clearly named copies of own choice pieces with the entry form.

The accompanists have requested that any photocopies sent in for them should NOT be stapled or sellotaped together.

Handwritten copies may be submitted, but the accompanist may reject them if they are not legible.
Transposing music downloaded from the internet is permitted, but it is often inaccurate and should be carefully checked for errors.
Transposing should only be done if absolutely necessary.
