Oundle Young Musician 2014

Oundle Bookshop on National Poetry Day was the perfect venue for Oundle Festival of Music and Drama to present the 2014 Festival syllabus.  Charlie Anson, Nathaniel Barton and Faye Watson from Oundle Primary School were first in line to see the 2014 set books.

The award winning Peterborough Male Voice Choir enjoyed a highly successful year in 2013, turning heads at the Cornwall International Male Voice Choir Festival and performing at the Britten Centenary celebrations as the guests of Aldeburgh Music, not to mention recording for BBC Radio 2!  This year will see them visit Cheltenham for the Festival of Performing Arts, as well as completing their second CD.  They are delighted to perform in Oundle alongside Northampton Male Voice Choir, presenting highlights from their repertoire, including choral favourites, ballads and songs from the shows.

Northampton Male Voice Choir will be singing plenty of tunes for everyone.  Music ranging from Simon and Garfunkel to Elton John. Last month NMVC entered a competition organised by the "Northampton Festival of the Performing Arts" and were delighted to be awarded First Place in the choir (open) section of the competition. The choir under the expert direction of Stephen Bell has gained a reputation for excellent choral singing which has resulted in invitations to sing in Ely Cathedral, The Royal Concert Hall, Nottingham and in April will be the guest choir of the Glasgow Phoenix Choir in the Royal Concert Hall, Glasgow.
